Shock was born 19/5/00. In this rather old photo he is seen with his mother, Burgundy, following behind. Shock is so named because his arrival on this earth came as a "shock" to us all. Burgundy in all previous years had never had a calf and had always tried to help her own mother in looking after her brother or sister. So, it came as quite a "shock" when, in her 9th year, she finally managed it. |

A more recent photo of Shock (normal coloured) who is one of our Christmas reindeer; friendly who handfeeds well. His mother, Burgundy, (DOB 21/5/91, mother - Tuna) was a dark breeding female and, as can be seen in the top photograph, grew large and very shapely antlers. |
