The Cairngorm Reindeer Centre is located approximately six miles from Scotland's Premier All -Year resort of Aviemore.  To help you to find us and to assist you in making any travel arrangements by public transport, we have included links to the major public transport webs. All links open in a separate window. We don't vouch for the efficiency or service of these companies in any way. We've just provided these links as a service to you.
Aviemore is situated in the Highlands of Scotland, approximately 30 miles south of Inverness on the main A9 Trunk Road..  The area is well served by Public Transport.  There are frequent coach services from Glasgow, Edinburgh and even direct from London via National Express/Scottish Citylink.

Aviemore has its own railway station located right in the heart of the town and there are several trains per day including an overnight sleeper service to London. Details of Train Services can be obtained from National Railway Enquiries or First Scotrail.
Inverness, which is situated 30 miles to the north of Aviemore, has its own airport and there are a flights to and from a number of airports in the UK including London Gatwick, London Luton and Glasgow.
There is a daily service from London Luton Airport with Easyjet Airlines with standard single fares from as little as £29 plus taxes.  If you book your flight using Easyjet's Web Site booking facility, you can save a little more than if you book by telephone.  This is a no frills service but we have tried it and it is more than adequate for anyone.  At such low prices, why not treat yourselves to a short break on fly-drive.  There are plenty of car-rental companies at Inverness Airport. Hertz seem to have particularly good rates.
Other Flights are operated to Inverness by British Airways and other carriers.
On arrival in Aviemore, you should have no problems in finding the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre. A daytime only bus service operates from Aviemore (departs from Railway Station Car Park) to Glenmore.  Aviemore is also well served by an efficient taxi service with a trip to the Reindeer Centre costing in the region of £7 to £8.

Many folks hitch a lift (people are very helpful around here, but please be careful and sensible) and, finally, it is a very pleasant walk along the ski road through Glenmore Forest Park past the beautiful Loch Morlich with its fabulous sandy beach for those whose legs do not tire easily.  Look out for the memorial stone to the wedding of HRH Prince Charles and Princess Diana on the left (just back from the road) as you walk or drive past the side of Loch Morlich.

The Glenmore Forest Park Caravan and Camping site and the Glenmore Youth Hostel are both within 400 metres of the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre.   For details of accommodation in the area, we suggest you contact the Aviemore Tourist Office.
