DOWNLOADING DETAILS

There are two downloadable brochures on this page - the Student Information Pack and the Reindeer Booklet.

The Student Information Pack contains a variety of information intended for both educational and fun purposes. We have split it into 7 sections so that you don't have to download it all in one session. Each section starts with a header page telling you what the following pages are about. If you decide to print out all seven sections you will find that if you put them together, (after removing the header pages), all the page numbers are in order from 1 to 32. Any teachers amongst you may find its format useful in the classroom. If you feel that any changes would be helpful to make the pack fall in line with particular aspects of the National Curriculum, please let us know.

The Reindeer Booklet is in one section and will download easily.

To be able to read these documents you will need to have 'Adobe Acrobat' on your computer. There is a very good chance you already have this program installed -even though you many not realize it.

However if you find you cannot read these documents then click on this logo and you will be linked to their web site which allows you to download this FREE program.

The Student Information Pack is in seven sections and we suggest you download each section one at a time. If you do not have a High speed Broadband Internet connection then each section will take quite a time to download and you will find yourself staring at a blank screen for quite a while. But don't worry - it's all pouring down your telephone wires.

So once you have clicked on a section below, sit back, relax and wait for things to happen. A new separate window will open. Then apparently nothing materializes. However, keep an eye on the little light on your computer which tells you the Hard Disc 'gubbins' is working. That will probably flash occasionally. Also, if you are using MS Internet Explorer, you will see the two tiny TVs in the bottom right hand corner of your screen will also flash intermittently. Then, when that particular section has been downloaded, you will discover the 'Acrobat' program opens itself and you can then read the document and print it out too if you wish.

So that you don't get lost, this Downloading page and the Student Notes and Booklet are in a separate window which you will have to close (Cross in top right corner of your screen) once you have finished downloading everything you want. When you close these separate windows you will be returned to the "Reindeer Facts" page.

We have put a rough estimate of how long the download could take for each section. (Not a concern if you are on "High Speed Broadband")
